You’re not identified by your body and you should do what you’re comfortable with. I think these words are so important to live by right now. Mom mom is facing surgery in just a few weeks and her choice to wait with reconstructive surgery is one I agree with. Every person has said she is brave for making that decision, and I concur. We live in a world where sometimes we do things to make others comfortable. I’m glad that my mom is strong right now to do what I know she truly wants. She has had ups and downs with decision making, but now I can see her determination.
Screw what society thinks she should do. This is her decision and it’s making this whole process less stressful for her. So to hell with what anyone says, do you.
